Our Story
David Nye started the Great British Sausage Company 7 years ago after hotel & catering school in Scotland and training as a chef in North Norfolk. He always enjoyed eating sausages but it was when working as a chef at events he could not find a good sausage, he saw German Sausages, American Hot dogs but no British sausages...
He went about teaching himself how to make sausages and worked for free at a local butcher, after experimenting with lots of different recipes, flavours & butchery techniques he made a BBQ and started selling his sausages at local events then big music festival. People who enjoyed his sausages would contact him asking where they could buy the sausages....
As we use BBQ's we do not add any fat cuts so there is no dripping onto the flames and no shrinkage, you could say our sausages are the perfect barbecuing sausages, the cut of meat and traditional techniques used in making the sausage ensures the succulence and texture required of a traditional British Sausage.
